Le roi bis na Bombuj. The king of Puerto-Nero is so cowardly that he instructs Berlock Sholmes to find him a look-alike capable of assuming power. Leducq, a Parisian hawker, thus becomes king of Chimeria and the lover of the queen whom he also believes to be a double.
